Lewis Roca Rothgerber is pleased to announce that Partner Lawrence A. Kasten was elected to membership in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (AAAL) at the Academy’s most recent meeting. The firm now has three attorneys as members of this highly respected Academy.
Kasten focuses his practice on appellate work and general litigation. He also serves as the firm’s General Counsel. His experience includes securities, insurance, banking and constitutional law, with a focus on class-action defense work. In addition to Kasten’s appellate experience, he has participated in all aspects of federal and state court litigation at the trial level.
AAAL membership is open only to those who possess a reputation of recognized distinction as an appellate lawyer. Academy membership is by invitation only and is limited to 500 members in the United States. To be eligible, a nominee’s practice must focus substantially on appeals during at least the last 15 years, nominees and must be nominated by a present Academy member, reviewed and approved by a Membership Evaluation Committee, and elected at a regular Academy meeting.
