Lewis Roca Rothgerber is pleased to announce that Karen L. Witt has been elected to the Independent Bankers of Colorado Education Foundation (IBCEF) Board of Directors. This is her first year on the board. The IBCEF provides financial literacy information to consumers of all ages as well as invaluable training to Colorado’s community bankers. Witt will serve a 3-year term.
Witt, a partner in the firm’s Financial Institutions practice group, has represented public and private financial institutions for more than 24 years. Ms. Witt regularly assists large and small financial institutions and their holding companies with charters, holding company formations, geographic expansion, securities offerings, regulatory compliance issues, mergers and acquisitions, TARP and SBLF issues and redemptions, branch purchases and assumptions, tender offers, FDIC-assisted bank purchases, business structuring issues and corporate governance matters.
Witt received her J.D. from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law.
