Lewis Roca Rothgerber is pleased to welcome Michael Charles Brown, David Jackson, Neel Kothari and Eric Wanner as new associates in our Phoenix office.
Michael Charles Brown is in the firm’s Litigation group, where he focuses on all facets of trial court litigation. During law school, he served as a judicial extern at the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and the Arizona Court of Appeals. Prior to law school, Brown worked at a national securities brokerage firm researching economic and financial trends, conducting business planning, tracking regulatory compliance and analyzing revenue and asset goals for clients. Brown earned his J.D., summa cum laude and with High Pro Bono Distinction, from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He also holds a B.S. in economics, summa cum laude, and a B.A. in political science, summa cum laude, both from Arizona State University.
David Jackson is in the firm’s Litigation group. Before joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable John Pelander at the Arizona Supreme Court and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable James A. Teilborg in the U.S. District Court in Arizona. While in law school, Jackson was actively involved in Junior Law/CourtWorks, an outreach program focused on teaching middle school students about the Constitution and their constitutional rights. Before becoming a lawyer, Jackson was an elementary school teacher and served as a Faculty Advisor for Teach for America. Jackson earned his J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif and High Pro Bono Distinction, from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He also holds a B.A. in political science from Emory University in Atlanta.
Neel Kothari is in the firm’s Litigation practice group. He has worked closely with judges at the trial and appellate levels. Before joining the firm, Kothari served as a law clerk to the Honorable G. Murray Snow in the U.S. District Court in Arizona. As a clerk, he drafted orders and assisted with trial preparation and discovery issues, often in complex commercial cases. He has also served as an extern to the Honorable Sandra S. Ikuta at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. As an associate in a boutique litigation firm, Kothari helped clients develop sound litigation strategies and assisted with insurance, intellectual property and malpractice disputes. Kothari spent several months as a Graduate Fellow at an Institute in India, where his research focused on improving the local legal infrastructure. Kothari earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Chicago Law School. He also holds a B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, from the University of California Davis.
Eric Wanner is in the firm’s Business Transactions group. Before joining the firm, he clerked for Chief Justice Rebecca White Berch at the Arizona Supreme Court. Wanner served as a legal intern for Judge Mary Murguia at the U.S. Court of Appeals in the Ninth Circuit and Judges Kenneth Mangum and Bruce Cohen at the Maricopa County Superior Court. While in law school, Wanner served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Arizona State Law Journal. Wanner earned his J.D., summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He also holds a B.S. in mathematics, magna cum laude, from Arizona State University.
