Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP proudly announces that Sonia Ramirez has been selected as the recipient of the firm’s 2015 Michael D. Nosler Scholarship. Ramirez is a student at the University of Colorado School of Law.
The Michael D. Nosler Scholarship is awarded annually to a talented diverse second-year law student from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law or the University of Colorado School of Law.
The firm established the scholarship in 2006 to honor and recognize past managing partner, Michael D. Nosler, who demonstrated an unwavering commitment to diversity in the legal profession and supported the firm in its commitment to making the legal profession more diverse, inclusive and reflective of the communities in which we live and work.
The scholarship program provides a unique learning experience that develops and enhances the recipient’s legal writing skills and provides exposure to the private law firm environment and the real-world practice of law.
Ramirez will complete a paid clerkship in the firm’s Denver office this semester and will receive a $10,000 scholarship to help pay for her third year of law school. In addition, this semester she will intern with the Honorable John L. Kane at the U.S. District Court of Colorado.
Ramirez earned her B.A. in political science from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, in 2010.
