Lewis and Roca LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Peter Larson has been appointed to serve as a member of the Indian Legal Program’s Advisory Council of the Sandra Day O’Conner College of Law at Arizona State University. His appointment began August 28, 2012 and will last until July 31, 2015.
Larson is a partner with the firm's Tribal Affairs and Gaming and Public Finance practice groups. His practice focuses on representing Indian tribes, tribal entities and those working in Indian Country on a variety of matters, including commercial and economic development. He often serves as either borrower or lender’s counsel in project financing.
ABOUT INDIAN LEGAL PROGRAM
The Indian Legal Program was established in 1988 to provide legal education and generate scholarship in the area of Indian law and to undertake public service to tribal governments. The Indian Legal Program trains students to effectively engage the representation of Native peoples and seeks to promote an understanding of the differences between the legal systems of Indian Nations and those of the state and federal governments. Today, the Indian Legal Program has become one of the best in the nation, and graduates of the Indian Legal Program are working at all levels of tribal, state and federal government, as well as in private practice.
