Lewis and Roca LLP is pleased to welcome two new attorneys to its Albuquerque office, Samantha Updegraff and Ryan Walters.
Updegraff focuses her practice in intellectual property and in the regulatory arena. She is a registered patent attorney and helps clients with patent and trademark matters as well as energy efficiency programs, regulatory rulemakings and proceedings before the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission, and navigating options consistent with the Federal Communications Commission’s Report and Order and revised Universal Service Fund. Updegraff received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of New Mexico School of Law and her B.S., Chemical Engineering, with honors, from New Mexico State University.
Walters is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group. His experience includes research and evaluation of legal issues, factual development of cases, and drafting of pleadings and briefs. He has participated in cases involving commercial disputes, banking, and premises liability. Before joining Lewis and Roca, he was a judicial clerk for U.S. District Judge James O. Browning of the District of New Mexico. Walters received his J.D., from Baylor University School of Law and his B.A., English honors, from University of Texas at Austin.
