Ms. Parkis is a partner in the firm's Real Estate practice group, practicing in the areas of real estate law, finance and general corporate and partnership work. She practices primarily in the areas of finance, acquisition and disposition of improved and unimproved commercial real property and related entity concerns.

While in law school, Ms. Parkis was both a staff member (1995-1996) and an Articles Editor (1996-1997) for the Southern California Law Review.

Ms. Parkis provides real-estate and financial oriented legal services to clients across various industries. She has experience in drafting and negotiating transactional and operational documentation, and diligencing and closing transactions involving the leasing, acquisition, disposition, development and financing of improved and unimproved property. Ms. Parkis focuses on client-oriented legal service, performed in an efficient and capable manner.

  • Represented national insurance companies in equity financed joint venture transactions in connection with the formation of limited liability companies, the drafting of operative agreements and the acquisition, development and operation of industrial, multi-family residential, mixed use and retail properties.
  • Represented both borrowers and lenders in a variety of real estate finance transactions, including leasehold, construction and permanent financing, including both real estate and asset-backed financing.
  • Represented single-family homebuilder in land acquisitions and development, including drafting and negotiating contracts and joint development agreements, and coordinating and performing due diligence.
  • Represented several institutional clients in connection with the acquisition and disposition of multiple real property assets.
  • Represented national retailer in the sale of all local leasehold sites and company-owned business locations in Arizona.
  • Represented commercial clients in connection with the disposition of distressed real estate, related workouts and related business concerns.
  • Represented a hospital system in connection with real estate dispositions, medical office ground leasing and development and diligence in connection with the acquisition of several hospitals.
  • Represented a development company in connection with the formation of a limited liability company with an equity investor and the development of a retail strip center.
  • Represented an investor in connection with the formation of a limited liability company for the purpose of acquiring and managing tourist-oriented attraction.
  • Represented companies in connection with ground and space leases, from both a landlord and tenant perspective and associated construction-related elements.
  • Represented a charter school in connection with the acquisition of an existing campus, negotiation of space and ground leases and the development and construction of a second campus.
