Our topic this month is “Marijuana in the Workplace – What’s an Employer To Do?” which will address the issues employers are encountering with regard to the “semi-legalization” of marijuana in Colorado. Our discussion leaders are Bill Nelson, a partner at Lewis Roca Rothgerber and Joan Rennekamp, Lewis Roca Rothgerber's Client Human Resources Consultant, both of whom have been helping employers address issues for the past several years.
Because some issues are legal in nature, and others are not, Bill and Joan will try to answer both your legal and your HR questions so you are better equipped to both craft a policy and to deal with individual situations as they arise.
We provide the lunch; you provide the questions. This luncheon will not be a lecture, but is designed to provide you with the opportunity to ask questions about specific situations you have or might encounter.
This is a topic for all employers. Any employer who is interested in problems associated with the use of marijuana is encouraged to attend. This topic is designed for business owners and managers, nonprofit directors, church and ministry leaders, human resources managers, finance managers, and others who work in decision-making or support roles in your organization.
