Ms. McKae is a partner in the Denver office and represents commercial banks and other financial institutions in a wide range of financing transactions including real estate acquisition, construction loans, asset-based and other collateralized financings, including revolving lines and term loan facilities and syndications and participations. She has worked on development loans for construction and longer term financings for hotels, multifamily, condominiums, residential time shares, industrial, office, and mixed-use projects including projects with public funding sources mixed with the private capital and negotiating with mezzanine and subordinate lenders.

Ms. McKae has extensive experience with affordable housing. She represents construction and permanent lenders (both conventional and tax-exempt) on low-income housing tax credit financings and on facilities specifically tailored to the tax credit investors. Additionally, Ms. McKae has assisted both lenders and borrowers in conduit and direct tax-exempt financings both through public issuance and private direct placements for schools, municipalities, and non-profits.

Ms. McKae also counsels clients in pre-bankruptcy planning, refinancings, workouts, modifications, foreclosures, and deeds in lieu of foreclosure, and advises clients on debt sales transactions. Additionally Ms. McKae advises clients on real property purchase and sale transactions.

Ms. McKae is committed to affordable housing in Denver and serves on the Board of Colorado Community Land Trust. She has provided pro bono legal services to great organizations like Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver and Susan B. Komen Foundation of Metro Denver.
