Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons LLP (effective September 1, 2013, Lewis and Roca LLP) is pleased to announce that attorney Jaclyn K. Casey has been recognized as the Denver Bar Association's Young Lawyer of the Year.
The award honors a member of the Denver Bar Association who is under 37 or has been practicing law less than three years and has made outstanding contributions to the community and the interests of young lawyers in the Denver metro area. Past honorees include lawyers who went on to serve as Denver Bar Association president, appellate judge and state legislator.
Ms. Casey is a partner in the firm's Denver office. Her practice emphasizes commercial and complex civil litigation involving business entities of various sizes. She is an avid volunteer for nonprofit organizations in the legal community and beyond. Ms. Casey has for the last two years co-chaired the Denver Bar Association Barristers Benefit Ball, which is the single largest fundraiser for Metro Volunteer Lawyers. She also serves as a representative to the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors and in July will begin serving on the Denver Bar Association's Board of Trustees.
Ms. Casey is a member of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless Resource Development and Marketing Committee, the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Executive Council, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Denver, and served on the Curious Theatre Company Board of Directors for the past six years. Ms. Casey was recognized in Colorado Super Lawyers® as a "Rising Star" in Business Litigation 2011-2013, was named one of the 2013 ?Denver Business Journal's "Forty Under 40," was selected for the 2010 Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (COBALT) class, and was named an "Up and Coming Lawyer" for 2009 by Law Week Colorado.
