Brian J. Spano

Brian is a ‎member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group where his practice focuses ‎primarily on the representation of corporate clients in a wide variety of ‎commercial and insurance-related disputes, including representation in ‎commercial litigation, D&O, breach of contract, class actions, insurance coverage, and ‎bad faith actions.‎ He previously served as the firm's Denver Office Managing Partner.

In addition, Brian has served as receiver and counsel to the Colorado ‎Commissioner of Insurance with respect to regulatory issues and in ‎connection with troubled insurance companies. Brian counsels and ‎represents insurance carriers in regulatory actions, including financial and ‎market conduct exams. He also serves as counsel to state life and health ‎insurance guaranty associations in multistate insurance company ‎insolvencies, including representation in ancillary litigation, and the sale ‎and acquisition of insurance-related business.‎
