Mr. Helm is an associate in the firm’s Litigation practice group, where he focuses his practice on a variety of commercial and complex legal matters, including insurance, insurance regulatory, and general business litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Helm worked in the Colorado insurance industry for 15 years, culminating in a position with the Colorado Division of Insurance. Mr. Helm was a Rate and Financial Analyst in the Division's Compliance and Investigations unit, where he conducted producer and agency investigations, advised the Commissioner of Insurance on enforcement actions and market research, and developed and implemented regulatory policy and legislative agendas. Notably, Mr. Helm spearheaded an industry-collaborative overhaul of the Colorado title insurance regulations.
