ITC Section 337 Litigation

The International Trade Commission (“ITC”) offers powerful remedies not available in traditional courts.  The ITC’s chief remedy, an exclusion order, allows IP holders to block infringing products from entering the United States.  With its expedited schedules and exclusionary power, the ITC can resolve issues quickly and forcefully.  And unlike district courts, the ITC can look across international borders and take action based on overseas activity.  An exclusion order can be based on infringement of U.S. patents, trademarks, copyrights, and a variety of other intellectual property rights.

Given the enormous stakes in an ITC investigation, hiring a firm with the right expertise is essential.  Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie attorneys have been involved in numerous ITC proceedings, and we represent the full spectrum of technologies, including math, chemistry, physics, life sciences, mechanical engineering, computer science, and electrical engineering.  Our attorneys have a national reputation for high caliber performance at every level, and our litigators can make even the most complex technical subjects clear to the judges and staff at the ITC.

In addition to ITC Investigations, we are uniquely equipped to handle related proceedings, such as parallel district court litigations, post-grant proceedings in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and appeals.  Given our deep bench of technically-trained lawyers and commitment to client service, our clients count on us to help navigate the high stakes world of ITC litigation.
