Lewis Roca Rothgerber is pleased to welcome Eric N. Kniffin to the firm’s Colorado Springs office.
Kniffin, who focuses his practice on religious liberty cases at the trial and appellate levels, will work in the firm's Religious Institutions practice group. He also has extensive experience with commercial litigation matters and has represented clients in high-profile religious liberty cases, including nationwide litigation challenging the Health and Human Services Mandate.
Prior to joining the firm, Kniffin worked as a trial attorney for the United States Department of Justice, practicing in the Civil Rights Division. Most recently, Kniffin served as legal counsel for The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty in Washington, D.C.
Kniffin received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2003 where he served as solicitation editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy. Upon graduation, Kniffin clerked for Judge Theresa L. Springmann on the United States District Court, Northern District of Indiana. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and the District of Columbia, and his application for Colorado admission is pending.
