McGuinness talks gaming on Nevada Newsmakers

RENO – Nevada Newsmakers, the state’s top commentary and political television news program, featured Sean McGuinness of the firm’s Reno office to discuss what’s new in gaming.

McGuinness spoke with host Sam Shad on a number of topics including the potential for legalized gaming in Japan, which could generate up to $40 billion in annual revenues.

"It would be a huge market," said McGuinness, a partner in the Gaming practice group at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie.

Japanese officials are intently studying Nevada-style gaming and have already met with representatives of the UNLV International Gaming Institute, Nevada Gaming Control Board and other gaming experts, according to McGuinness.
